There are two ways to measure soil moisture: Passing a voltage through two closely space probes, amplifying, and measuring the resistance OR measuring the capacitive properties of the moisture present in the soil.
Unfortunately, passing a voltage means exposed metal, which can lead to corrosion.
Our capacitive sensor does not have any exposed metal, making it much more resistant to corrosion.
Comes with sensor and cable to be connected to any microcontroller ADC line.
